BTC TREATMENT
BACTERICIDAL ANODIC OXIDATION
SURFACE TREATMENT
Bacteria, viruses, and biological contaminants toxins are among the main etiological agents of Foodborne diseases, and can contaminate the product at different stages: food production, processing, preparation, storage, transportation, and distribution.
In order to avoid bacterial proliferation in the food and pharmaceutical sectors, it is possible to treat the entire surface of metal components by means of a treatment called "BTC", which uses the action of silver ions (Ag+) giving surfaces a permanent bactericidal characteristic over time.
We carry out anodic oxidation surface treatments on light alloy components. Our anodic oxidation treatments can be carried out on pulleys, false teeth, mechanical blocks and on all the metal components accompanying the timing belts. The anodizing treatment makes the treated surface anti-bacterial, anti-wear and anti-corrosion.
The BTC treatment can be considered by designers as a brand new material.
Therefore it can represent a valid and innovative alternative to the expensive materials currently in use, such as titanium alloys, stainless steel or expensive coatings such as TIN - PVD - CVD - Hard Chrome - Chemical Nickel - Teflon Nickel etc. The added value is generated by the bactericidal action and the absence of contaminants (in accordance with M.O.C.A. Italian directives for food contact materials).
